Who are we and how did our breeding journey begin?

My name is Vibeke, am 37 years old the manager of the cattery and am a flower decorator and worked as such for 11 years.

Since then, I've tried a few different  things but haven't found a job I'm really passionate about.

At the moment I'm taking a course in Digital marketing tools and trying out some web design, so we'll see where the journey takes me in the end 🙂

I have always loved animals and have always had a special connection with them, I grew up with both dogs, birds, hamsters and guinea pigs.

I am creative, love projects such as renovation, painting and organisation, creating new things from recycled materials, photography, editing pictures and relaxing with a bit of knitting or crocheting is never wrong 🙂

Then we have the secretary in the cattery, Astrid, 70 years old and retired.

She looks after everything in the household when the boss is not at home and makes the cats extra spoiled 😉

Astrid worked for almost 40 years at

Trio Ving and is now enjoying herself as a pensioner, now she spends her days enjoying life, knitting, crocheting and being social in  Damegruppa.

She grew up with dogs, cats and rabbits.

Astrid is good at teaching, cooking and baking, she is also good at listening and being patient.

Zelia

Our journey started with a cat on breedingterms, we had four litters here out of a total of 17 kittens,

nine of these were Zelia's.

Now Zelia works as the world's best aunt and helps with both washing and raising 😉

We thought this was exciting and rewarding so we ended up buying our first breeding cat Mjaurita's Deliza in 2021 and since then there have been a couple more 😉

We started breeding in 2019 then in NRR but we wanted to include polydactyl cats in our breeding program so we chose TICA.

We are in TICA USA and are members of the Norwegian club Freyas Cats.

I am President of the club and am looking forward to having a TICA exhibition in Norway.

We DNA test our cats with (MyCatDNA) and we want good health.

We have our cats insured in Gjensidige and use the Trivium animal clinic in Fredrikstad.

We are Musti breeders and feed the cats with Purenatural and Smaak raw food.

We think it is important with good harmony in the herd and that the cats should be exposed to as little stress as possible, therefore, we do not keep the female cats for long in breeding, they usually have a maximum of 3 litters in about 3 years, they are also neutered and move to safe, good forever homes and can enjoy life.

The male cats with us either get a hormone chip or they are in breeding until we have a new male cat or they start marking.
